Louisa Fletcher
Louisa is an
entrepreneur and property expert. She is the co-founder and
managing director of the independent website www.propertypriceadvice.co.uk which provides consumers
with the ability to obtain a free and impartial valuation of any
residential property in England and Wales.
Louisa has over 15 years experience in property renovations and
redevelopment having owned her first house at 19 and renovated 6
homes in the last 8 years.
Louisa has done everything from knocking down walls, to installing bathrooms, kitchens and re-wiring a house, to interior design, strategic property consultancy and home-finding. Louisa is also an expert on the technical aspects of the property industry, such as Home Information Packs and legislation surrounding Estate Agents, along with the economics surrounding property prices and values.
Her passion for homes and property is now called upon during her weekly live slot on ITNs London Tonight, together with frequent appearances on GMTV. Her weekly column, Rated Property for the News of the World has received critical acclaim for its consumer friendly content, whilst her comment and research on property and the UK housing market are also regularly featured in the national press and on radio. Her forthcoming book Property Uncovered: 101 Trade Secrets from a Property Goddess will be published in September 2008.
Louisa is an accomplished public speaker on motivation, marketing, online strategy and property issues. She works closely with the Enterprise Council, typically speaking at events for 15 to 16 year olds about business and entrepreneurialism at the government sponsored Enterprise Gigs , and has recently started to lecture at Cambridge University to bring real world expertise to MBA students.
In 2006, Louisa was shortlisted for the Women of The Future Awards in recognition of her achievements in business, and in 2007 became a Woman of Achievement Ambassador, one of ten women working in partnership with the Woman of Achievement Foundation and the government in a national scheme to promote business and career options to young women aged between 15 and 18. This involves speaking at schools, colleges and corporate events, as well as mentoring pupils and providing real world career counselling.
